Internet marketing is how I pay my bills.  It’s what I do for my clients.  It’s what I do for my own brands.  It’s become a remarkably large part of my life.  For better or worse, I feel I’ve become one of the best on the planet.  Now, it’s time to earn that praise from others.

I will be “SEO famous.”  I’m pretty good at this.  But I want to be recognized as one of the best.  That’s something you have to earn.  This search engine optimization data dump is a step toward it.  Expect Google to eat this up.

Tier

What Is SEO?

Chakras are the body’s main energy centers.  Most teachers today include seven of them.  Other models include 4, 5, 6, 8, 12, or 13.  Whichever model you choose, “the chakras” are considered the most important of 100s (or even 1000s) of energy centers in our bodies.

My Two Cents

Money is one of my Tier 1 Topics.

That makes it an entrance to many rabbit holes.

These profiles are largely for me.  I use them to record and reference.  In the future, I may make them more meaningful to the outside observer.

Career Path

This is an odd way to put it.  But it’s the only phrase that captures the entire bucket.  Gary thinks like a Scorpio.

Going For the GoAt

Many of my heroes talk about company culture.  Gary’s idea of a “Honey Empire” is one of the best.

Experts Don’t Exist

Most people know Gary as “that social media guy.”  Makes sense.  He’s one of–if not the–best at it on the planet.

Satisfies Curiosity

Gary wants to buy the Jets.  Big dream, but he has a practical plan for it.  Luckily, he is documenting the journey.

For the time being, this site is mostly just a data dump.  Over time, it may become more useful to the outside observer.  Who knows?

Piecing Together the Search Engine Optimization Puzzle

SEO is a massive topic within two other massive topics.

SEO is a one of the largest pieces of the Digital Marketing puzzle, which is one of the largest pieces of the overall Marketing puzzle.

There are many ways you could organize its pieces.

Over time, that’s what I plan to do.  There’s a lot to wrap your mind around in SEO.  It touches many other pieces of Digital Marketing.  Plus, it is continually evolving.  I find its most helpful to explain it from different angles.  So that’s what I’ll do here.

By itself, that leg alone is destine to go 5 or 6 levels deep.

Quality content is the first pillar of SEO.  If you want to be known for a topic, you need content about it.  Nowadays, that content has to be the best.  That trend will only continue into the 2020s—and beyond.

This is what most digital marketers call off-page SEO.  I think digital footprinting is a better name for it.  The idea creates a framework for training and sustainable strategy.  It has more life than “off-page SEO.”

As one half of SEO’s largest dichotomy, White Hat SEO is like a religion.  “White hat” is synonymous with “the right way.”  Mainstream opinion is often that it is the only way.  At the same time, many SEOs incorrectly label their tactics.  As a philosophy though, it excels.

This is the “dark side” of SEO.  Many think “black hat” SEOs work in shadows.  Some do, but the mainstream opinion is wrong.  As a philosophy, it’s about results.  The best simply test.  These guys are often the earliest adopters of Google’s “white hat” initiatives.

A large part of SEO is about the fundamentals.  As such, on-page SEO is vital.  It includes a large bucket of website optimization tasks.  This includes content, UX/UI, web standards, some tech stuff, and more.

This is the shortsighted, underdeveloped version of digital footprinting.  For most SEOs, off-page SEO is all about “backlink building.”  Nothing against off-page SEO strategies.  They are important.  It’s only that the thinking around it seems limited and immature.

I came up with the idea of my favorites while teaching myself about personal growth, health, and money mastery.  They provide a great record of my progress.

I have approximately 548,945,248 SEO resources.  I know more than anyone wants to know about search engines.

So more than any other, my SEO favorites are on track to become something useful for other people.
