This week we backtracked.
It wasn’t all bad.
But this game is definitely headed to overtime.
For the second time this season, we failed to get the job done in the fourth quarter.
Fortunately, April is a 5-week month for me.
So we get one more quarter to make it right.
Fourth Quarter of the Fourth Game
From taking our Foot Off the Pedal…
To straight up backpedaling.
😫😫😫
Sounds horrible. And to a degree it is.
But it’s not quite as bad as it appears.
Some of this week’s backtracking was actually the right thing to do. There were a few major developments in the SEO Citations space this month. So it was smart to go back and post a few updates to the Greensboro SEO Pro website and social media profiles.
That’s big stuff. And it actually ties some of the work from my 2020 Content Challenge to my other Content Challenges.
However, it’s not what this game was supposed to be about.
I haven’t produced a single new video in all of April. We call that giving up ground.
😒😒😒
That’s a problem.
Because:
In terms of overall Productivity, I’ve actually been dominating all month.
However, when it comes to achieving the things that matter most to my life, I’ve really been missing the mark.
I’m grateful that I have overtime to clean that up.
Too much backpedaling let the enemy Hail Mary their way back into the game. Too much prevent defense. Not enough pressure.
But then again, it’s not like I didn’t know this was going to happen…
April is my five-week month this quarter.
😏
Overtime was always April’s destiny.

Factual and Foursquare recently announced a merger.
Just like when Acxiom closed their business directory, it made great sense to jump on the content opportunity. It’s always a smart move to create content around SEO news. This only makes my SEO company appear more authoritative to Google.
Sure, I’m supposed to be building my SEO Training library. But it’s been the website that has been calling my name lately.
Of course, new Credit Card pages are still rolling along. Those are good to go for the next few months. And I’m still making progress on my final Hero and Favorites layouts. Not sure how much longer I have on those, but all sorts of pages are rounding into shape now.
Once they’re done, I’ll be ready to bring my team in and then it will be GAME OVER.
But perhaps looking ahead is why we’re going to overtime.
In the fourth quarter, you have to stay focused on the fourth quarter.
Unfortunately, we got caught “looking ahead.

The Week Ahead
After last week:
My weekly content streak now is up to 122 days (begun December 26th, 2019).
That is also my current record. Before this, my longest streak was 96 days during my 2019 Daily Content Challenge.
Based on scheduling, I’m already set to extend that for 2 more.
So how close are we to winning April?
It’s tied going into overtime. I love close games. I thrive in them.
Giving the way I’m playing, this one seems like a guaranteed win.
They may have the momentum. But we have the resolve.
