This Daily Content Challenge is boosting my Productivity across multiple planes.
First, it’s a test of (and eventually a testament to) my personal content production abilities.
Second, it’s a way for me to create and refine content production systems for my Digital Marketing businesses.
As both develop, my appreciation for David Allen’s Getting Things Done methods grow more and more.
Speaking of, it might be time for a reread—and perhaps a .review.
🤔📚🤓
Whatever the case, I’ve been putting his concept of “Trusted Systems” to good use. Last week’s double update is a strong example. It’s not quite to the level of my Bullet Journal, but I’m becoming mentally dependent on the act of producing content for My Brands.
Perfect.
Lessons in Productivity & Planning
The video production spree I went on earlier this year taught me several big lessons.
Maybe the most practical one is the art of getting ahead and publishing content over time. It’s something I’ll be looking to do in a big way over the next two months. I was able to achieve it with videos based in large part thanks to the “batching” that Tim Ferris teaches.
In fact, I might even be able to get these updates done a day or two early (like the one you’re reading).
My content production bounced right back to prior levels, despite a rash of awful thin and missed days.
Two weeks ago was horrible.
Since then, it’s felt easy. Once I can pile on another big batch of videos for my Web Marketing Brand, things are going to get very interesting.
Next month, I plan to get the +50% of quarter three’s content scheduled. The month after that, I plan to do the same for all of quarter four. Before I know it, this challenge will be half-done through completion.
Depending on a few other things, that percentage might jump closer to 75% (videos) or 95% (blog posts).
I’m excited to see how things play out.
No matter what, it looks like win-win situations all around.
The last couple weeks have been foundational in my long term plans for my SEO Agency. It’s been over three and a half years since the main branded pieces of our digital footprint has been updated. We’ve recently begun on revamping the entire network. Simultaneously, my own network is shaping itself up as well. This bodes well for my own personal Public Blog Network overall.
Just thinking about the “White Hat” SEO power I will be able to command over the next few years makes me giddy.
😍🤓🤩
Still, you build a pyramid one stone block at a time.
So that’s what I did this week.
Zach Bradshaw’s Content Updates 7/14/19 – 7/20/19
Deep down, I might be most excited by the consistent growth of my Favorites.
In the long term, the knowledge I will gain and make more functional by building them out is probably more valuable than any specific piece of content I will create for myself over the next year or two.
I definitely plan to create more awesome posts soon. Eventually, I’ll even create some that actually receive traffic from organic SEO.
😁
Still, the rewards of building out major data dumps on Health, Happiness, Money, and other important topics are likely to be enormous.
The payout may not come right away…
But I plan to be around for another 100 or so to reap those rewards.

Can’t help but feel that Sunday’s updates were most important.
Just the fact that I couldn’t help but double up.
Not quite a sense of obligation: more a sense of “duty” to myself.
Looking back at results, it turns to a sense of pride.
Powerful stuff.
In failing at this massive challenge I’ve put in front of myself, I’m gaining so much.
I’m down to fail my way to success, yes. But I also make sure not to take for granted the small victories and lessons along the way.
I will eventually publish new content for myself for 365 days straight.
Maybe I’ll do it by this same time next year. Maybe not.
Whatever the case, I’m sure to have gained plenty in the trying.
Perhaps you’ll gain something in the witnessing.
Maybe not, especially because there is no one here to read this.
😁😂😜
It’s ok. I’m alright with crickets for the time being.
It won’t be that way forever. Nor is that the point.
Doing. That’s what this is about.
From it, trusted systems and plenty will emerge.
Including this final sentence.
