Jeff
Rose

Jeff Rose is a dude that talks about money on YouTube.  Unlike others who do the same, he is certified financial planner.  His CPA practice is what gave him his start.  This is filler text.  This is filler text.  This is filler text.  This is.

Who Is Jeff Rose?

Brian Johnson is the definition of an “information entrepreneur.  He has created a business around his own passion for learning.  In the process, he has assembled what may be the greatest series of “how to have a good life” manuals of all time.

Some people see Jesse as a “coon” or “Uncle Tom.”  I see him as a man trying to do what is right.  That’s why he’s so high on my list.

Jeff Rose Bio

Some people see Jesse as a “coon” or “Uncle Tom.”

I see him as a man trying to do what is right.

But I’ll get to that.  First, let’s just answer…

Who is Brian Johnson?

Brian Johnson is the definition of an “information entrepreneur.  He has created a business around his own passion for learning.  In the process, he has assembled what may be the greatest series of “how to have a good life” manuals of all time.

He’s also going to buy the NY Jets.

Born in Alabama in the time of Jim Crow, Jesse gives a powerful counter to many mainstream narratives.  He often pines for the “good ‘ol days” when boys were boys and men were men.   ……….. ……………………………………………………………………………………………..

As Seen By Me

To me:

Brian Johnson is an example.

He’d probably reject both of those titles.  But I’ve learned a lot from him in a short time.  And I enjoy his take on the news.  He has a unique, entertaining type of wisdom.

He has helped me craft a better me.

It was over as soon as I heard him talk about forgiveness.

Jesse is one of those heroes like Jordan B. Peterson, that has shown me better ways to live out the principles I believe in.

Why Jeff?

For the time being, this site is mostly just a data dump.  Over time, it may become more useful to the outside observer.  Who knows?

I don’t claim to be an expert on anyone I write about.

Hell, I hardly claim to be an expert on myself.

These profiles are largely for me.  I use them to record and reference.  In the future, I may make them more meaningful to the outside observer.

No guarantees.  Let’s start small.

Life Optimizer

Brian is a life hacker extraordinaire.  He optimizes across all domains and has powerful life planning strategies.

Social Responsibility

As an entrepreneur, Brian is devoted to making the world a better place.  He is how I first heard of CSR clauses.

Learning Addict

This guy casually talks about reading entire books in a morning.  To this point, he has cataloged over 500.

Personal Philosopher

To a large degree, watching Brian has inspired the design of this site.  I learn and take public notes.  His are better.

What Jeff Teaches

Brian touches a variety of topics.  He marries ancient wisdom and modern science brilliantly.  Across the range of topics he studies, he makes connections that others can benefit from.  I am one of those.

Where to Put
Your Money

There is a lot that goes into.  I can’t make up my mind whether to focus on the writing or the designing.  I guess it doesn’t matter.  The daily content challenge marches on.

6 PROVEN Ways to Build Wealth Outsides of Stocks

How to Invest $100

1. Betterment – 1:54

  • No minimum for investing, you just need to have an investment goal
  • They use Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) or low-cost investments to get into low-cost stock portfolios
  • They pick the investments for you

2. Ally Invest – 2:45

  • Minimal requirements where you get to pick the investments
  • The only issue is 100 may not be enough. Mutual funds may need a 1,000 minimum. You could open an account for 100, but you may not be able to invest.

3. On Your Phone – 3:42

  • Stash, Robin Hood, or Acorns
  • Do you want to choose the investments or have them choose your own?
  • With Stash and Acorns, they’ll choose the investments for you. But Robin Hood will let you buy fractional amounts of stocks
  • Stupidly easy to download the app, transfer money, and make your first investment

4. Your 401k – 4:54

  • Your 100$ has to come out of your pay to be put into your 401k
  • Sign up for a 401k!

  • Teachable, udemy, skillshare all offer hundreds of classes
  • To invest 100 in a course that will give you a skill you don’t have is worth far more than the investment

7. A Domain – 8:16

  • You can buy a web domain for under $100
  • If you have an idea for an ecommerce site, blog, or website, you can easily buy a domain
  • The most important part in anything is taking that first step: buy a domain

8. Find a Mentor – 9:07

  • Don’t ask to “pick their brain”

  • If you want more control in choosing your mutual funds or ETFs, you can start with Ally Invest or etrade
  • Etrade has a $500 minimum but has full access to ETFs and mutual funds. And over 90s ETFs with zero commission
  • If you want someone to pick your investments for you, Betterment is the way to go (they pick your ETFs based on your financial goals)

  • The first step is always buy a domain. Then find somewhere to host the domain. Then a website theme (possibly, if you have no experience in web design).
  • So many options. Blog, ecommerce…
  • Not a lot of money upfront to get started. It costs more in time.

4. Invest in Online Courses – 20:17
