This was a stop and start week.
For me, it was meetings on meetings and meetings.
This kept me from being able to lead as effectively as I wanted to.
I’ll need to make some adjustments—as I plan on more such weeks, not less.
In effect:
This was a quarter of football full of flags and official reviews.
We lost some of our momentum.
And eventually, they tied the game.
But hey, January has five weeks…
So maybe we already knew this was going to happen.
😉
Fourth Quarter of the First Game
When it come to football:
I love close games.
But when it comes to my content production:
I want to step on the field each month knowing it’s going to be a blowout. Said a different way, my goal is to have several months of content scheduled in advance. Based on what I have brewing, I’m well on my way.
For some reason though, I decide to fit my 2020 Content Challenge into a big ‘ol football analogy.
Each month is a new game. I’m trying to go 12-0. And again, I want BLOWOUTS.
Unfortunately, the calendar doesn’t fully cooperate. 😲
There are 13 weeks in every quarterly business cycle.
Based on my Goal Setting system, this translates to one “overtime game” each in Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4. It’s part of the reason My 2020 Goals includes such an ambitious “gameplan” for January. It’s an overtime game.
So while I’m nowhere near “50 citations [posts] scheduled,” my content challenge marches on.
In fact, we’re already hacking away at some of February as well.
I’ll take it.

This was been a great month for This Site and my consulting company.
I didn’t expect to be working through Greensboro SEO Pro’s marketing services already.
But it’s nice. Plus, we Money Mastery continues to shape up with new Credit Cards. I even surprised myself with a strong update for my “tier 1” layout with my attack on Self Awareness. That’s big news for my Favorites. It also felt great to put some unique words on that thang.
There might be more of this coming soon!
Remember, Deep Work and Flow.
🙏🙏🙏
Despite the chaotic nature of the week, taking time for my stuff served me well.

The Week Ahead
After last week:
My weekly content streak now is up to 31 days (begun December 26th, 2019).
My longest streak so far was 96 days during my 2019 Daily Content Challenge.
Based on scheduling, I’m already set to extend that for 2 more.
So how close are we to winning January?
It’s tied going into overtime. But we saw this one coming earlier in the game.
I’m actually glad we’re starting off the season going “down to the wire.”
After all, we can’t escape the ones we already see coming down the road.
