Daily practice is arguably the best way to develop new skills and improve existing ones. It’s one of those basic wisdoms too few of us take full advantage of. Still fewer of us truly understand how to get the most out of it. Yet crack the code and you could see exponential growth.

What Is Daily Practice?
Daily practice is the act of doing something everyday with the intention of becoming better at it. It is a surefire way to upgrade any skill. Putting in the work everyday produces incremental progress, which can ultimately lead to mastery in virtually any pursuit.
Why Daily Practice?
The value of daily practice is largely self-explanatory. It’s one of the few things that makes improvement inevitable and predictable.
I don’t claim to be an expert on anything I write about.
Hell, I hardly claim to be an expert on myself.  😂😂😂
These breakdowns are largely for me. I use them to record and reference. Unlike most others on this site though, this goal setting page might actually be useful to the outside observer.

“Practice makes perfect,” is just a cute saying. The truth: perfection doesn’t exist. But you can always get better.
Pay Your 10,000 Hours
They say Mastery requires 10,000 hours on what you’re trying to get good at. You can only pay that cost day by day.
Defined by the Daily
Your life will be determined by what you do everyday. You can either waste that time or spend it getting better.

Learn with Me
Like most of us:
I’ve done a lot of practice in my life.
As a kid, it started with Tae Kwon Do, football, and piano. And of course, there was math, reading, writing, and everything else we go to school to learn how to do.
As an adult though, I’ve been the one in control of what I learn about and which skills I gain.
My focus has been on things like SEO, Finance, Gardening, and Cooking.

My Experience
I used to value the game more than the practice
Now, I have a lot more appreciation for practice that I did before.
I’m climbing my way toward mastery.
More than anything, I just need a few more years.
I already have a fairly sophisticated system. But for me, figuring out what I really want takes reps.
I use my goals to carve out a life purpose.
Points of emphasis respond to change in both me and in the world. But all the while, they pull me forward.
I create goals then mold my character to the traits that those objectives require. My goals help me discover the man I need to be so that I can do the things I want to do.
So far, they’ve served me well. Long may it continue.

Goals are fundamental. They are an essential pillar of a good life. Without them, it’s easy to get blown to and fro by the winds of the world.
Where Goal Setting Fits in a Good Life

For me, they’re a “Tier 2” concept, on the same level as Mindset, Habits, Growth, and High Performance.
