This week the world had to take an injury timeout.
COVID-19 is beginning to bring the world to a standstill.
It turned the second quarter of March into a real stop-and-start affair.
We kept the lead but it feels like we lost our momentum.
In the first quarter we played some good, Smash Mouth ball.
In the second quarter it was harder to impose our will on the opposition.
Still, it wasn’t a bad start end of the half.
Second Quarter of the Third Game
Luckily, we don’t rely on gimmicks.
Instead, we stick to the fundamentals.
Then, the market went crazy.
This lead to perhaps my best week of Playing Markets ever! I bought the dip in the stock market (and made some allocation adjustments). Then, I put in my most confident Trading week of all time. I’ve been good at timing my buys for about a year now. This week, I sold well too.
This might be the year I truly begin to consider myself a trader.
But I won’t let it get in the way of my identity as a marketer.
Certainly, nothing will stop me from becoming a better content producer. On the contrary, this slight detour into the markets has only served to boost my 2020 Content Challenge. The work put in on my Investing and other pages this week will continue to pay “dividends” over the course of this year.
Still, the in-game interruptions let the competition catch up just a bit.
It’s certainly not over yet.

This is getting easier by the week.
My goals for my marketing company are a bit harder to keep up with. I have to be more careful with Greensboro SEO Pro. But ZachBradshaw.com consistently grows in leaps and bounds. Sometimes, it’s hard not to work on it. It’s actually like that with several of my sites.
The big difference with This Site is that I don’t care about completing pages as much as a care about creating them. It expands as my competence does. It’s not really ready for production but it’s live nonetheless.
I’m not trying to rank it in search engines yet.
For some reason, Google doesn’t seem to care:
Probably because I’m building this thing correctly from the ground up.
Still, I’m not sure I expected to show up for keywords for my Heroes already…
I’m actually in the middle of rebuilding their layout.
Meanwhile, I now have new Credit Cards scheduled well into Q2 2020.
We gave a little back, but we’re still favorites to win March.

The Week Ahead
After last week:
My weekly content streak now is up to 80 days (begun December 26th, 2019).
My longest streak so far was 96 days during my 2019 Daily Content Challenge.
Based on scheduling, I’m already set to extend that for 2 more.
So how close are we to winning March?
There’s plenty of time left on the clock. It’s too early to put them away.
We could have done better. But we also could have done much worse.
With the score so tight, it’s on us to come out in the second half like it is 0-0.
