Starting over always sucks.
From a +250-day streak back to single digits.
😭😭😭
It’s extremely disappointing but it was actually coming for awhile. Six months ago, I was weeks and weeks ahead. But I slowly let my lead dwindle away and eventually it caught up with me.
Still, it was my longest streak ever and an achievement worth being proud of (if not celebrating).
Now, I’m back to the beginning of a new streak—with eyes on my 2025 Content Challenge.
The extra month’s buffer is a bit of a silver lining.
But that’s about the only positive I can conjure up.
What Got Done?
Nonetheless, last week was one of my most productive in at least a month.
I completed a mountain of optimization tasks for my Candlestick Patterns silo on PlayingMarkets.net. The vast majority of it was internal link updates. And I actually completed the entire group, at least for now. Eventually, I’ll have some other posts that these will need to link to. But those seem at least a few months away yet.
It’s a stopping point I’m rather thankful for, as getting through them was on the soul-crushing side.
Moreover, I expect it to really help my search rankings (which are already setting new all-time highs).
I’m actually quite excited to sort out my next step from here.
Last Week Was the Week That…
I hit three weeks alcohol-free for the first in about a year.

I also only smoked a very little bit.

It’s like an enormous weight being lifted. It feels so much better to be sober. (I don’t even understand how or why I went back on it.)
Aside from that, last week was also the week Chelsea smacked Ashton Villa (3–0) and Southampton (5–1) while UNC Basketball extended its losing streak to three in a row against Alabama.
Culturally, it was the week Joe Biden finally pardoned Hunter and the Hawk Tuah girl launched a Sh!tcoin.
Of course, there was probably some other stuff but that’s what I’ll remember it for.

After last week:
My weekly content streak now is up to 6 days (begun on Monday of this week). My longest streak of my 2024 Content Challenge was 262 days, from Week 10 to Week 48.
In 2023, my longest streak was 62 days, from Week 8 to Week 16. My longest streak ever was during my 2022 Content Challenge, snapped at 217 days in a row in Week 24. My best during 2021’s Content Challenge was 67 days, from Week 14 to Week 23. And my best in 2020 was 157 days in a row, which ended in Week 21.
The march toward a full 365 continues. 📈
